Hello Short Hair

Since I just told Earl I wanted my hair between my shoulders and my ears, this is what he gave me. I know it's not the greatest picture, but its nice and short! 15 inches cut off!

Goodbye Long Hair!

Tomorrow's the big day!!! Say goodbye to the almost waist length hair. I hope Locks of Love is ready to pick out all my grey hairs too! :)

Doctor Visits

Well, Melissa has another ear infection. I was hoping she was over that. She's going to the doctor tomorrow to confirm it, and get her regular meds, probably Keflex and Floxin. I'm just praying it doesn't hit the other ear after this one like it usually does. Poor thing. I asked her if her ear hurts and she says, "No mommy, I feel good." I guess she's as tired of taking medicine as I am of giving it to her.

I had a visit to the Cardiologist today, and everything looks good. With the pregnancy progressing, he said that I could up my does of Metoprolol another 12.5mg and then up another 25mg if I need it. Gonna go up the additional 12.5mg to see if it helps with my "episodes" as I have come to call them. The racing heart, shortness of breath, weakness and dizziness. Back again in 2 more months, right before I deliver.

Next week I am off to the OB again, and I start my visits every 2 weeks. I am seriously considering changing doctors, as my last resort doctor may be able to deliver me VBAC. That in addition to the other issues I was having with the office may be the nail in the coffin for me. Just hoping that my $1030 copay/deductible transfers. Especially since the insurance is going to be changing.

So, I'm a total slacker

I know that I haven't been blogging. Or posting on the forum. Or doing much other than work. I'm a slacker. I did manage to do some baking today though, so we now have some blueberry banana muffins, pizza dough, and fresh crackers! I will get back on, and posting soon!

Just when I though the swelling was gone....

It just comes up in another place. I had this horrible swollen spot in my mouth that was caused by biting my lip, about 3 months ago. Which I continued to bite every day 3 - 4 times a day, because.....it was swollen. Talk about Murphy's law. Well, it is finally down to a small enough size that I haven't bitten it really hard in a couple of days. It MAY just go away. But this morning I woke up with my right eye all swollen underneath. As if I don't have enough problems with dark circles, this just adds to the fun. I'm hoping that it's just irritated, or maybe I smacked myself in the face while I slept or something. **Snort** When's the last time you hoped that you smacked yourself in the face?

Day 6, Master Cleanse -- Last Day

Lost another pound, for a total of 8.5 pounds lost!

I needed to stop the cleanse yesterday. I did a partial day. The pain in my knee and leg was unbearable. I could barely walk and while Melissa and I were out, all the elderly people were looking at me hobbling around. That's saying something, because we were in the villages where they consider anyone under 30 to be "pediatic". Severe pain and inability to walk were not helpful in keeping a positive attitude for this.

I still feel good that I did 6 days at all. The pain is soooo much better this morning, and I feel like I can actually walk around for the time being. I will make an appt. to see the doctor next week, and have my knee looked at. I wonder if she will suggest a handicapped sticker for me?? Sometimes I wonder how I get around.

Well, I finally did it

Went to the dentist that is.... My poor tooth had to go, as it had an abcess and was causing me terrible pain. And lets face it, who needs teeth who needs pain? So now, I'm just waiting on the swelling to go down so I have my face back. But really is the swelling that bad? At least it makes the bags under my eyes disappear. ;)
