Merry Christmas! I'm back!

Well, I'm back from New York! I had a great time at the party, and hanging out with the family, and my friend Steve. It was great seeing him. It's been about 10 years, can you believe it? I couldn't believe the insanity that was the Holiday Party. Open Bar, tons of people and some that even wandered in off the street. I really enjoyed meeting the people that I talk to every day and being able to put a face with the voice and e-mail address. Friday was another fun day at work, and then out on the town. We ended up at Florio's again and had some great food and company. Steve said that he is definitely going to be returning for pizza there. Saturday, I checked out of my hotel, aka the Box, and walked to Grand Central Terminal and got some breakfast and caught the train to see Stephanie, Rick, Bruce and the kids. They sure are getting big! Stephanie said that I was a real New Yorker because I did it by myself. Then I had to hurry and get to JFK for my flight out which was delayed for almost 2 hours. But JetBlue was a much nicer flight than AirTran. A full can of soda and a bag of snacks. When I got home I got to spend some time with RJ who came and visited with Neil while I was gone. Then on Sunday we did Christmas Lunch with the extended family, and yesterday with Neil's family, then my family. Melissa is loving her gifts! She got the cutest little kitchen from Stephanie & Rick which she LOVES! She will spend a half an hour playing with it which is great because it gives me time to do other things. She's getting a few teeth in right now, so she's been pretty grumpy about it. But she sure is looking cute! All in all it was a great holiday and I had a ton of fun in NYC. Can't wait to go back.

Lists

I admit it. I have a problem with making lists. As I sit here, I am making a packing list of things I need to take with me to NY. I know I've made this list way too many times, and I am actually saving it in Word tonight so I can perfect it. I am a dork. I know. I just don't want to forget something! I'm sure that you've done it. Gotten to the hotel, and forgotten your underwear or something, then you think crap I have no underwear, and you contemplate going the week without......nah that'll never work, so you have to go buy some and wear them right out of the package, and they're all crunchy (not that being crunchy is bad ;) ) and stiff. See, it justs ends up badly. My sister, Stephanie, actually forgot to pack her DH's shoes for one trip and they had to go buy shoes! LOL!

So I went today and got a lovely coat to wear in the NINE degree weather! Holy crap. It's been almost 10 years since I've been in the bone freezing cold like that. I'm going to die.

Moving on up!

Well, I have been having problems posting on my other site http://paulettephelps.spaces.live.com/, so I decided to see how I like this Blogger site. I am hoping to be able to actually post pictures here, instead of on my dropshots page so that will save me some space on there.

I am headed up to New York City to go to the office Holiday Party, and have some fun there!! We're still contemplating what to do with Melissa at this time, because it will be too difficult for me to take her with me by myself since Neil has to work. Mom and Dad said that they would watch her, so we're thinking about that.

This weekend we went to see I Am Legend, and it was really good. It's the 3rd movie we've seen in the theater this year. We did matinee, and it was great! Of course there was this guy in the theater who was snoring during almost the entire movie. It was actually quite funny. Another guy woke him up and the whole theater was dying laughing at him. Why is it that you would go to a movie and fall asleep? I mean this movie was on it's 2nd day of release! Granted it was only $4 for the matinee, but couldn't you sleep somewhere else? Anyway, the movie was great. The TV trailers don't give much of an idea as to what the movie's really about. Check out the online trailers, they're much better. http://iamlegend.warnerbros.com/ Definitely worth the money!
