1- Your vehicle disappears when raining hard, and the lights blink off.
2- Your turn signals don't work.
3- You can't tell when you're breaking.
4- Its ILLEGAL in Florida. (And most others)
5- When used properly, hazards are for when you're stationary. This may cause other drivers to swerve around you thinking you are at a stop.
If you really feel unsafe driving in the rain you should PULL OVER!

Doctor Visits
Well, Melissa has another ear infection. I was hoping she was over that. She's going to the doctor tomorrow to confirm it, and get her regular meds, probably Keflex and Floxin. I'm just praying it doesn't hit the other ear after this one like it usually does. Poor thing. I asked her if her ear hurts and she says, "No mommy, I feel good." I guess she's as tired of taking medicine as I am of giving it to her.
I had a visit to the Cardiologist today, and everything looks good. With the pregnancy progressing, he said that I could up my does of Metoprolol another 12.5mg and then up another 25mg if I need it. Gonna go up the additional 12.5mg to see if it helps with my "episodes" as I have come to call them. The racing heart, shortness of breath, weakness and dizziness. Back again in 2 more months, right before I deliver.
Next week I am off to the OB again, and I start my visits every 2 weeks. I am seriously considering changing doctors, as my last resort doctor may be able to deliver me VBAC. That in addition to the other issues I was having with the office may be the nail in the coffin for me. Just hoping that my $1030 copay/deductible transfers. Especially since the insurance is going to be changing.

Two days of rain
Makes muddy planter, and a really full blow up pool!

Maybe I should give up and plant lily pads? There is actually a green bean plant in the planter too, can't you tell?
And yes I know I should be grateful that it's finally raining, but can we save some for later when we need it again? Getting the 7 inches that we're behind all at once is not really helpful when it runs off.

25 Week Doctor Appt.
I gained another 3 pounds this month! Still at a net loss though. Baby is growing nicely. Got a good look at the heart, and could see all the chambers in there looking healthy. Hopefully the Metoprolol I'm taking doesn't interfere with baby. I got my orders for the Glucose Tolerance Test. BLECH! I told the doc, that there's no way I'm drinking the glucola, unless they want to see it again. He told me he was ok with me doing it some other way, so long as the lab can do it. Well, I went over to the lab to check it out, and they said that they require the written order with exactly what they're supposed to give to me, and the quantity, and that I have to bring it. Going to check with another branch tomorrow and see what they say, but it sounds like I'll be calling the office back, or having the lab call them to get a revised order.

Scrapping Wish List
These sets are so stinking cute!

I wish I had the funds available, and the time to use them!! I just love my QuicKutz Revolution! I did luck out and recently picked up the Christmas one at a great discount from my local scrapbook store, Scrappin' Spot http://www.scrappinspot.com/. Check out the awesome sets! I LOVE the Reuse one, and the Enjoy. My faves of the 4, but all are equally adorable.

Hand Sanitizer
Some random person commented on my post about hand sanitizer. I didn't publish it with that post but I will post it here:
I propose to offer to you then, this alternative. My sister gave me some of this hand sanitizer when I was in NY which is ::GASP:: Alcohol free! Geez, it must not be effective then. Wait, what's this?? Its PROVEN to kill 99.99% of germs naturally?? Well, that can't be right. Isn't that what your alcohol version kills too? The EPA and FDA findings are all listed on their website, as well as the microbiology reports.

Melissa really loves this stuff, and its easy to use, because its a spray. Its just right for little hands. DH said he thinks it smells citrusey, but I think it smells like oregano. Could be my pregnant sniffer though.
"Anonymous has left a new comment on your post "Hand Sanitizer Recipe": This article is dangerously inaccurate. In order for the hand sanitizer to be effective it must contain a minimum of 60% alcohol. 1 tablespoon of alcohol per cup of aloe WILL NOT do the job. Please check your facts before publishing this type of information.Thank you. "
Since you didn't leave the information on where you got your microbiology degree, I can just assume you are just going off at the mouth, because you don't find Tea Tree Oil to be an effective antibacterial agent, even though it has been well documented.

Random Find
So, Melissa has been getting up early every day, usually around 7:45 or so. She gets out of her bed and comes into our room to hang out until I am ready to get up. We have a little ritual. On weekdays she watches Curious George, until its over, and then we finish getting ready for her to go to daycare.
Now, the other day, I dozed back off for a little bit, and awoke to this lovely crunching noise which I thought was my child being hurt. Of course I roll over, and she is laying there sheepishly chomping on a cheeto that she had stashed in a cup in the living room.
Fast forward to bed time. I'm getting into bed, and pull back the covers to lay down. What did I find? Four little cheetos in our bed. And not at the top, where she was laying. Strewn all the way down to where her feet were.
Gotta love life with a toddler!
